History

The CT Angels was started in 2006 to give players the chance to bring their game to the next level against the best competition in the nation. Mike O’Keefe saw a hole in the training gap kids were receiving in the northeast vs. players down south. Even at the AAU level in CT, players weren’t being instructed by professionals mainly because there weren’t enough that reside in CT when their playing days are over. Thus, the CT Angels was established. In a short two years the program has helped develop young men on and off the field.

10yr old- Our 10u team is the newest addition to the fastest growing AAU program in the state.  We decided to add a 10u team because we feel more and more, kids are taking a serious interest in baseball at an earlier age. During the 10u lessons, we pay special attention to developing baseball fundamentals so they develop good habits from the start. Most importantly, we keep the instruction serious and fun!

12 yr old- The 12u is the first sign of a young player’s dedication to the game of baseball.  They bring a sense of eagerness to learn all facets of the game and what it takes both on and off the field to be the type of player it takes from the transition of little league through their high school careers and beyond.

14 yr old- 14u is one of the biggest levels of the game.  It’s such an important year because of the transition.  We start to notice kids either making the cut for their high school teams or fail to.  And we need to address that issue and we strive for a 100% tryout rate where every kid on our 14u team has made their school team.  This is the year we gear up and break old habits that will put us on our way to be better ballplayers.  That is why the coach will be Mike O’ Keefe, who wants to make that jump in development.

16yr old- College recruiting is very hectic especially if your kids are not being seen by the different programs throughout the northeast.  We pledge to you that exposure, to have your child seen by dozens of division 1 programs we have ties to. Adjusting the big diamond will be evident but our strength program will be second to none and train our players to be complete players.

18yr old- At this level we focus on college recruiting and educate our players on the process of college scholarships.  And by the end of the summer we will have everyone on our team moving onto the next level.  They need to work hard to achieve this goal but with our help we feel this process will be worry free.
